Christmas Musical

We had a wonderful day in the Lord’s House Sunday even though we had folks out of town and others were sick. Pray everyone will be in their place Christmas Sunday. I preached a message entitled, “The Name That Says It All—JESUS” in the Morning Service. The Angel told Joseph and Mary “thou shalt call his name JESUS.” I agree with the song writer, “There’s just something about that name...Jesus.” What a wonderful time in the Evening Service! We had our Children’s Christmas Program called “The Colors of Christmas.” Thank you to Robin Walters who planned and directed the program! Thank you to Kellie Watson who worked with the children on the speaking parts. Thank you to Jennifer Kitchens who worked with the children on the music. Thank you to all the parents who worked with their children on their parts. Last but not least, thank you to all the Children who participated in the program. I will remember “The Colors of Christmas” every year from now on when I see the decorations during the Christmas season. Especially the color of RED! The program was a wonderful blessing!

The Choir will present the Christmas Musical entitled, “Mary Did You Know” this Sunday, December 24th in the Morning Service. We have a Christmas gift from the church for everyone present. For the Adult and Teens, a “Red Three-Function Christmas Pen” (Pen, Stylus and LED Light). For the children present a “Starry Starry Night Set” (Cup, Bag of Goodies and Story Book). We will have a Special Christmas Eve Service for our boys and girls on December 24th at 6:30pm. It has been a tradition at Fundamental Baptist Church for many years to have this special service with our boys and girls. For years Bro. Waymond James has brought the children to the platform to read the Christmas Story. Bro. David Rankin has done it for the last few years. We will sing some Christmas Carols and Bro. David will read the Story of Christmas from God’s Word to Children. Let’s teach our children the REAL meaning of Christmas! We are having a “New Year’s Service” on December 31st. We will start at 6:30pm with a service in the Auditorium and then go over to the Family Life Center for food and fellowship. Bring a pot of chili, stew or soup and finger desserts. Bring your dominos and other table games etc. You can stay as long as you want or until 12 midnight. Plan to attend all the services and bring someone with you. It is hard to believe 2017 will be history and a New Year 2018 is almost here!
