Feb. 14, 2018 (PM)  We had a good day in the Lord’s House Sunday even with so many still sick and others out of town. I preached a message entitled, “A Jailor Gets Saved” in the Morning Service. The Philippine Jailor asked Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” (Acts 16:30, 31) Someone said “it is the Gospel in a nutshell.” If this were the only verse we had, it would be enough to saved the World. Salvation is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! I preached a message entitled, “Our Response To The Gospel” in the Evening Service. “I am a debtor...ready to preach the gospel...I am not ashamed of the gospel...” (Rom. 1:14-16)
We hosted the Red River Valley Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship last Thursday. I feel like it is the best Fellowship Meeting all year. The Choir sang two songs along with four other specials. The music was great! The three Pastors preached messages that blessed and challenged our hearts. Folks, the food was out of this world. You always out do yourselves. The decorations in the Family Life Center was great.Thank you to ALL who helped make the meeting a blessing to all the Pastors, Missionaries, Evangelists and their spouses and staff. Many expressed the blessings they received. Until next year!
Missionary Greg Lyons (Philippines) will be with us on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 7PM. The church has supported the Lyons family since 1986. We support his two sons, Corey and Luke. We support his Son in Law, Marc Buxton also. Bro. Greg will be giving the church a report of the ministry. Don’t miss hearing about the people being saved in the Philippines. Literally thousands have been reached through their ministry!
