Mother’s Day May 13, 2018 Our attendance was way down because many of our folks were out of town and some sick. The Lord gave us a good day in His House. I preached a message entitled, “First Things First.”There are five places in Matthew where our Lord talks about first things. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). I called the message for the Evening, “First Things First, Part II.”I showed some seven other places in the New Testament concerning first things. The best part of the day was Melanie Young accepting Christ as her Savior. Melanie was the last of her siblings who have been saved through our Bus Ministry. Please pray for the family!

Last Saturday, Bro. James and I were a part of Bro. Jimmy Lee McElhaney’s Ordination Service. Bro. Jimmy was called to Pastor Victory Baptist Church in Kerrville, TX. Bro. James was the Moderator and I had the privilege to preach the “Charge.”Bro. Jimmy’s family was present and other folks from Fundamental Baptist Church. Bro. Jimmy is the third generation of McElhaneys in the church and Karson is the fourth generation. I am so proud of Bro. Jimmy and Becca! I know God is going to use them a great way in Kerrville. The church presented a Bible engraved with “Rev. Jimmy Lee McElhaney.” TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Our next special day is Mother’s Day on May 13, 2018 AM. We will be recognizing ALL Mothers present. We will recognize the Youngest Mother, Oldest Mother and Mother with the Most Children. Every mother will receive a gift from the church. It is a beautiful “Polestar LED Key Chain.”It is personalized with bold, lazar engraving on satin sapphire finished aluminum with our church information. The split ring key chain has a unique light bar which comes on and off by pressing it. The gift is not an expensive one, but something practical. I hope every time you use it, you will remember that Fundamental Baptist Church loves you. Let’s make Mother’s Day another special day!

Missionary Linda Fitzgerald will be with us May 20, 2018 in the Evening Service. Linda will be giving the church a report of the work in Germany. We have been supporting Linda for many years and I am excited about hearing and seeing what God is doing there in Germany. Don’t miss this special service!

Please don’t forget to pray for all those on our “Church Prayer List.”Neva is improving every day in rehab. Thank you for your visits, cards, phone calls, emails and most of all your prayers. They tell me an average recovery time for this injury and surgery is about 4-6 weeks before she will get to go home. Please pray for sooner than later. Neva and I love you very much.
