The Lord blessed us with a pretty good attendance considering so many were out of town and others with health problems. The offerings were good in both the General Fund and Faith Promise Missions. I preached a message entitled, “Types of Faith” in the Morning Service. We had five salvations at Sr. Camp last week. Two of them came forward in the Morning Service and made public their profession of faith in Christ. Please pray for Autumn Young and Anna Nava! We had “Camp Echoes” in our Evening Service. Our teens sang, gave testimonies and Bro. James shared the messages preached during the week. What a blessing to see and hear how God worked in their lives. We had five young ladies accept Christ as their personal Savior and one young man rededicate his life to the Lord. Thank you to all the counselors who went with our campers (Bro. James Smith, Bro. Kenneth Bateman, T.C. Rhoades, Helen Smith, Kellie Watson and Mindy Rhoades). It was worth it all!
Jr. Camp is July 16-20. See Bro. James Smith for all the paper work and details. Let me encourage our folks to help the boys and girls go to camp. We are going to a new camp, Timberline Baptist Youth Camp in Lindale, TX. Their cost is $200.00 per camper. This is $60.00 more than in the past and makes it harder to pay. It is worth it because Timberline Baptist Youth Camp has so much more to offer our campers. You can see pictures on their web-site. Pray about sponsoring a camper to camp! If you cannot do the whole cost, maybe half or any amount will help. Put your money or check (make it out to the church) in an offering envelope and mark the envelope and check “CAMP!” If a child wants to go the camp and their parents will let them go, let’s make sure every child gets to go! A week at Bible Camp will touch their lives and make a difference for all eternity. I don’t know of a better investment than in a life of a child. An investment that pays eternal dividends! I know because it was at Youth Camp I surrendered my life to serve the Lord and here I am Pastor of the greatest Church in the world!
Please pray for all those on our “Church Prayer List.” The “Church Prayer List” is always available in the foyer. GOD HEAR AND ANSWERS PRAYER!
Your Pastor, Bro. Gary
