“One Salvation and for Baptism" What a wonderful service in the Lord’s House on the Lord’s Day last Sunday! The attendance could have been better, but the presence of the Lord was felt in both services. I preached a message entitled, “When Life Hurts” in the Morning Service. I gave three things to remember when we are hurting. (1) The Lord has a Divine Plan for your life, (2) The Lord sometimes delays, (3) The Lord always gives comfort. “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25, 26) We had “Jr. Camp Echoes” in the Evening Service. We had 21 campers and 7 sponsors go to Timberline Baptist Camp in Lindale, TX. What a wonderful service! If you were absent, YOU missed a blessing! We had singing, video, testimonies, lessons from Rachel Borden & Emma Odle, preaching from Hayden McElhaney & Kyle Cearnal and so much more. Thanks to all our Counselors who went with our boys and girls. The best part of the whole day was one of our teenagers, Makenzie Marusak, came forward to make public her salvation and to follow the Lord in Baptism. Her parents, Matt and Dianna, lead Makenzie to Christ in their home last Wednesday. What a wonderful God we serve!
I am starting two new series in the Adult Sunday School Class and Wednesday Services. In the Adult Sunday School class a series entitled, “The Life and Labors of the Apostle Paul.”In the Wednesday Evening Services a series I am calling, “What’s in a Name?” The Bible calls us by different names and we will go through them one by one in the Wednesday Evening. The first name is “Christian.” Be sure not to miss any of these two series of messages!
Please pray for all those on our “Church Prayer List.”The “Church Prayer List” is always available in the foyer. There are so many in our Church Family going through some serious health problems and they need our prayers very much. Neva and I love you!
Your Pastor, Bro. Gary
