47th Annual Faith Promise Mission Conference September Month School has started and officially the summer is over and hopefully vacations are over. It sure would be a blessing to see everyone back in church. We had a good attendance and offerings Sunday. I preach a message entitled, “The Most Well Know Verse in the Bible” in the Morning Service. You can probably guess what verse. “For God so loved the World, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Someone has called this verse, “The Gospel in a nut shell.”If this verse were the only verse we had, it is enough to save the world. I preached a message entitled, “The Description of a Missionary” in the Evening Service. “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” (Psalm 126:5, 6) Every Christian is to be a Missionary and sow the “precious seed” of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We need a broken heart for souls!
Our 47 Annual Faith Promise Mission Conference starts this Sunday, September 2, 2018 and goes throughout the whole month of September. The schedule is in the newsletter and on the Web-site. We will have the “Mission Booklet” this Sunday. Our theme this year is “Go! Anywhere, To Anyone, At Any Cost!” The verse is “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matthew 28:19). I believe God has given us some great Missionaries scheduled to be with us. We start the Mission Conference with Missionaries Don and Dolores Swearingin and their daughter Miss Heather to Mexico. We have supported the Swearingins since 1984. I would like us to take on for support Missionary Heather Sweargingin who works with Team Swearingin. They have started 13 churches and are working on another Bible College in Mexico. They will be with in both the AM and PM services. Don’t miss a single service of the Mission Conference and begin now to pray about your Faith Promise Offering this coming year.
Be sure to get a “Church Prayer List” and pray for all those on it. PRAY FOR THE FAITH PROMISEMISSON CONFERENCE! Neva and I love you and hope to see you in all the services!
Your Pastor, Bro. Gary
