47th Annual Faith Promise Mission Conference
September Month

What a wonderful day in the Lord’s House on the Lord’s Day! Our 47th Annual Faith Promise Mission Conference started off the Lord moving in a great way. Missionaries Don and Delores Swearingin and their daughter, Heather was also with us Sunday. Bro. Don taught in Sunday School and preached in both the AM and PM services. If you missed Sunday, you missed a blessing. We technically had two Missionaries with us. Both gave their testimonies and showed their videos. Miss Heather sang in all the services and played the guitar and piano on different songs she sang. We have been supporting Don and Delores since 1984 and plan on taking on Miss Heather for support. They are “Team Swearingins to Mexico.” We also passed out our 47th Annual Faith Promise Mission Conference Booklet. Be sure you get one! You will see what God did last year and will help you determine your promise this year.

Wednesday, September 5, 2018 we have Missionaries Fran and Marivel Aquilino (Philippines) with us. We have been supporting the Aquilinos since 2013. This is their first furlough and will be giving us a report of the work in the Philippines. They have been ministering in Southville-3 Baptist Church in Muntinlupe, Philippines. Sunday, September 9th, Missionaries Bob and Sandy Piatt (Japan) will be with us (Sandy will not be able to be with us.) Bro. Bob is on furlough giving a report to his supporting churches. Japan is a field of about 126 million lost souls and only about 1% claim to be Christians. We have been supporting the Piatts since 1974!

Our theme this year is “Go! Anywhere, To Anyone, At Any Cost!” The verse is “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matthew 28:19). The Lord gave us a “record” Faith Promise Offering received last year of $132,809.00 which was 88.1% of the Faith Promise made. That is really good, but that was last year. We want to do better this year so we can take on more Missionaries for support. Also, we need to give each of Missionaries an increase in their monthly support. Don’t miss a single service of the Mission Conference and pray about your Faith Promise Offering this coming year. Let’s go forward and not backward!
