What a wonderful month and the blessings we received from all the Missionaries. I preached a message on “The Great Commission” in the Morning Service. “And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20) I pointed out our theme for the conference: “GO! Anywhere, To anyone, At any Cost!”We closed out our service by adding up our Faith Promise Mission Cards. The total promised for the year was $137,441.81! Just think about that! Our goal for this year is to have 100% of the promised received by this time next year. Many of our folks were not present Sunday because of being out of town or physically not able to attend. I pray that many of them are involved in giving to Faith Promise Missions. Even if you did not turn in a card, you should be involved in supporting Missionaries. Please pray that everyone will be faithful in fulfilling their promise to God and give their Faith Promise Offering. We closed out our Mission Month by having a Candlelight Service. It was such a blessing to see the a circle around the auditorium with each person holding their candle. Each candle representing a Missionary who will be lifted up in prayer for the year. Let me as your Pastor thank you for your faithfulness through the month and your love for Missions! We will do it again next year if the Lord doesn’t come back first.
Sunday, November 11, 2018 is Veterans Day. Let’s have a special service to recognize our Veterans. I would like for us to have our “Memorial Garden” this year. It’s been a while since we have had the crosses lined up in front of our church with your family member’s names on them. There will be a sign up in the foyer. These are names of your grandparents, parents, siblings and children who served our country and are deceased. We have enough crosses for about 60 names. We will be recognizing all veterans present and those who are now serving in the military.
Be sure to get a “Church Prayer List!” and PRAY! Neva and I love you!
Your Pastor, Bro. Gary
