The Lord gave us a great day in His House on the Lord’s Day. The attendance was good and offerings both in the General Fund and Faith Promise Missions was great. I preached a message entitled, “The Lake of Fire” in the Morning Service. “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:14, 15) The “lake of fire” will be the permanent place of eternal punishment for those who die without Christ. That is why it is so important to try and reach the lost here and around the world. Jesus died so all could go to the place called “Heaven.” The message I preached in the Evening Service was from the words of Jesus, “But as the days of Noe were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:37) Jesus also said, “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot...Even thus shall it be in that day when the Son of man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28-30). Jesus described the conditions in our world when He comes back. Folks, I really believe we are living in the “last days.” Jesus is coming back! The best part of the day Sunday was two precious souls saved in Jr. Church. Please pray for Kallie Cole and Adalyn McGuyer! Praise the Lord!
Sunday, November 11, 2018 is Veterans Day. Let’s have a special service to recognize our Veterans. I would like for us to have our “Memorial Garden” this year. It’s been a while since we have had the crosses lined up in front of our church with your family member’s names on them. There will be a sign up in the foyer. These are names of your grandparents, parents, siblings and children who served our country and are deceased. We have enough crosses for about 60 names. We will be recognizing all veterans present and those who are now serving in the military.
Be sure to get a “Church Prayer List!” and PRAY! Neva and I love you!
Your Pastor, Bro. Gary
