Veteran’s Day Service November 11, 2018 AM Our attendance was better, but still many of our folks are sick and still some out of town. The Lord blessed our services with visitors which is encouraging. Also, the offerings both in the General Fund and Faith Promise Missions were good. Let’s really pray and be faithful to support our Missionaries and Mission Projects. We voted to give all our Missionaries an increase of $25.00 per month and Home Missions increased by $15.00 per month. I preached a message entitled, “Calvary” in the Morning Service. “Calvary” is the Latin for “the skull.”The “Golgotha” is the Aramaic work for “the skull.”“And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.” (Luke 23:33) I preached a message entitled, “God’s Son in the Old Testament” in the Evening Service. “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” (John 8:58)

Let’s have a special service to recognize our Veterans and ask God to bless the United States of America! We are having our “Memorial Garden”this year. It is 60 crosses in a line along the street with your deceased family member’s name on them who serve in the Military. There will also be a flag three feet in front of each of them. We will be recognizing all veterans present with a Certificate of Appreciation and a small gift. It is a Bookmark and Coin. One side of the Coin says, “God bless those who serve, who give themselves without reserve” and the other side say, “God Bless America. We will also recognize all those who are now serving in the military. THANK YOU VETERANS FOR YOUR SERVICE!
Last Wednesday I started a series, “Elijah, The Man of God.” I will start a Holy Spirit Series in the Adult Sunday School Class this Sunday.Don’t miss the study of the life of Elijah and the study of the precious Holy Spirit!
Be sure to get a “Church Prayer List!” and PRAY! Neva and I love you!
