Choir Did A GREAT JOB! “Hope Has Hands” It’s hard to believe that Sunday was the last Lord’s Day of 2018. The year went by so fast! I preached a message entitled, “A Happy New Year.” “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching froth unto those things which are before.” (Phil. 3:13) We approved the workers of Fundamental Baptist Church for 2019 in the Evening Service. I preached on the subject, “Percept upon precept...line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” (Isaiah 28:10) Though scoffed by Israel and Judah in that day, is the way we learn “knowledge” and “to understand doctrine.” They could have experienced, “the weary to rest: and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.” (vs. 12) “But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon percept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little...” (vs. 13) The key to happiness in the New Year is living by the Word of God!
This Sunday, January 6, 2019 is the first Sunday of the New Year! Let’s start the year off right by being in the House of God. Let’s keep the New Year right by being faithful to God’s House the whole year! We have a “2019 Personalized Pocket Calendar” for everyone present Sunday. It includes: 2019 Personal Record, What to read in time of need/Scriptures, My prayer list, 2019 Calendar by month, Bible verses for each month, Scripture for each day to read the Bible through in one year, Advance planning for 2020, List of 2018 U.S. Holidays and 2019 & 2020-at a glance by day and month. A great pocket calendar!
We are having Dr. Mark Rasmussen and the West Coast Baptist College Team will us on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in the Evening Service. The “Vessels of Honor” will be singing and Dr. Mark will be speaking. “Vessels of Honor” are four ladies who are students who travel singing and representing the college. Dr. Mark Rasmussen is the Vice President at West Coast Baptist College. He and his wife, Suza, have been at WCBC for the past 20 years. WCBC is a great College training Men and Women to serve the Lord in many different ministries. Don’t miss this service!
