Our “Mission Emphasis Sunday” was a wonderful day! Missionaries Glen and Sheri McGhee (Ecuador) were with us in the Sunday School and Morning Service. Bro. Glen taught our Adult Sunday School Class, gave their testimony, DVD and preached in the Morning Service. We have been supporting the McGhee since 1991. Missionaries Jason and Arlen Stevens (Honduras) were with us all day. Bro. Jason taught the Young Adult Sunday School Class. Arlen gave her testimony in the Evening Service. She was born and raised in Honduras and was saved under a Missionary who is now in Heaven. She came to the states and attended Bible College to go back to her country. She met Bro. Jason who was called to Honduras. They were married and now serve together as Missionaries with three precious children. We have supporting the Stevens since 2009.Did I say it was “a wonderful day?” The purpose of the “Mission Emphasis Sunday” was to encourage all those who promised back in September in the 47th Annual Mission Conference to be faithful to give the rest of the Faith Promise year (September 1stthrough August 31st. Also, to encourage those who are not involved in giving to Missions to start by giving something. We were reminded Sunday that there are lost souls who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we don’t send Missionaries, who will? “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? andhow shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”(Romans 10:13-16)
April 17, 2019 is Easter Sunday! The choir will be presenting an Easter Musical entitled, “JESUS SAVES” in the Morning Service. This is a powerful musical with a DVD playing as the choir sings. The whole purpose of the death, burial and resurrection is so souls could be saved. “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”I Corinthians 15:3-4) “JESUS SAVES!”
Be sure to get a “Church Prayer List!”and PRAY!Please pray for Joice Price and her family! She is under hospice care and getting weaker every day. Also, Memorial Service for Cecelia Headrick this Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2pm at the Fundamental Baptist Church. Neva and I love you very much!
Your Pastor, Bro. Gary
