MOTHER'S DAY!

What a wonderful day in the Lord’s House on the Lord’s Day Sunday! We set a record attendance since the Pandemic started! We had 205 in the Morning Service! The Choir did an outstanding job presenting the Easter Musical, “ONE DAY!” Thank you choir for your dedication and hard work! It paid off! Many, many compliments on the job well done! I closed out the Morning Services about the “Resurrection of Christ and the Believer’s Resurrection.” I preached a message entitled, “An Extra 1,000 Years in the Grave” in the Evening Service. “But the rest the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.” (Revelation 20:5) Folks, let be in our places next Sunday!
We are studying “The Epistle of Philippians” on the Wednesday Evening Services. We are still in the first chapter. Philippians is one of the “prison epistles.” The Epistle of JOY! Tonight, we will study verses 19-21, “THE FOUNDATION OF THIS LIFE!” Paul said, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21) We are not ready to die until we begin to live for Christ!
We are doing a series of lessons in the Adult Sunday School Class. The series is “Why we believe what we believe?” I am currently on the “Doctrine of the Holy Spirit!” Bro. Joe Rodriguez will be teaching our class this Sunday. I will resume the following Sunday teaching “WHY we believe WHAT we believe” Series. “The gifts of the Holy Spirit!”
Sunday, May 8, 2022, is “Mother’s Day We recognize every mother and lady present with a special gift from the church in the Morning Service. You will receive a “Whispers of God’s Love” Tote Bag” with cotton handles. You will love this pretty, practical reusable tote bag! You will also receive a “Whispers of God’s Love” Pen and Book Marker. “…I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name: thou are mine” on all of them. (Isaiah 43:1) We will also recognize the Oldest, Youngest and Mother with the most children. Mother’s Day is just around the corner. “…Honor thy mother…” (Exodus 20:12)
