The Wills Family!
A Wonderful Blessing!
A Wonderful Blessing!
Written February 15, 2023

My, this year is going by fast! I can’t believe are closing the month of February soon. Last Sunday, was “PROVE YOUR LOVE SUNDAY!” The Lord gave us a good day! The Wills Family were such a blessing as always. It’s hard to believe that Bro. Bob just has a kidney removed two weeks ago. We were the first church they have sang in since the surgery and he did it! I preached a message entitled, “Prove The Sincerity of Your Love” in the Morning Service. “Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, ye for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:7-9) I keep the same theme for the Evening Service with a message entitled, “I am His, and He is Mine.” “My beloved is mine, and I am His…I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine…I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me” (Song of Solomon 2:16; 6:3;7:10) “My beloved” is used 32 times in the Book of Song of Solomon. Solomon wrote 1,005 songs (I Kings 4:32), but this best one! The love story is presented in poetic form. It is about the love of the bridegroom for his bride and the love of the bride for her bridegroom. The Song of Solomon pictures the wonderful union which exists between Christ, the Heavenly Bridegroom, and His church, the Bride of Christ. (1) I Belong to Him and (2) He Belongs to me. It’s a fact that Christ loves us and prove it on Calvary’s Cross. How much do you and I love Him and how much do we prove our love to Him? “Sincerity” means genuine, honest and true. Sincere love will always give!
Missionaries Glenn and Sherri McGee (Ecuador) will be with us on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Glenn and Sherri were approved as BBFI Missionaries in 1990 and I believe that was the year we took them on for monthly support. My, they have done a great job in Ecuador. They are on furlough reporting to their supporting churches. You don’t want to miss hearing what God is doing there on the Mission Field!
Easter Sunday is April 9, 2023 and our choir will present a new musical entitled, “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross!” The Musical is only 30 minutes long, but it is a powerful message of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It will be here before we know it. Please pray for our choir as they practice the musical! Our choir is now halfway through the first time. Of course, we don’t really celebrate “Easter”, we celebrate the RESURRECTION! If fact, every Sunday we worship the Lord on RESURRECTION DAY!
Please pray for all those on the Church Prayer List! We love you very much and hope to see you in church!
Your Pastor,
Bro. Gary
